Power Transformers

Step-up and step-down power transformers for transmission substations, generation plants and heavy industry — engineered per project, tested to IEC 60076, and documented for utility approval.

Engineered around your grid

A power transformer is never an off-the-shelf item. Rating, impedance, vector group, tap range, cooling class and loss evaluation all come from your grid study and specification — our job is to turn that into a buildable, testable design and a clean document package for your utility or consultant.

Typical ratings & configuration

Rated capacityTypically from 1 MVA up to large grid ratings, fixed per project
Voltage classUp to 230 kV class (HV winding), LV per grid requirement
CoolingONAN / ONAF / OFAF, with radiator banks and fan groups as specified
Tap changingOn-load tap changer (OLTC) with AVR-ready control, or off-circuit tap changer
Vector groupPer project specification (e.g. Dyn11, YNd11 and other standard groups)
Impedance & lossesSet by your specification; guaranteed values stated in the technical proposal and verified by test
Protection & monitoringBuchholz relay, oil temperature and winding temperature indicators, pressure relief, online monitoring options
Frequency50 Hz or 60 Hz
StandardDesigned, manufactured and tested to IEC 60076
TestingFull routine tests on every unit; type and special tests per specification; FAT witnessing in person or by live video

All values above are typical ranges for orientation only. Every power transformer is quoted against the project’s own technical specification, and differences are listed openly in a technical gap table before contract.

Documentation for utility approval

Grid projects live and die on paperwork. The document package typically includes the technical proposal and guaranteed data sheet, GA and foundation drawings, winding and insulation data, routine test reports, type test reports for the design family, operation and maintenance manuals, and shipping drawings for transport planning — in English, checked against your document list.
